All looks lost early on and to top things off the girl who won the part is totally mean. Will Kylie learn to overcome her jealousy of the new girl and stay pretty on the inside as well as the outside?
This book is the first one that puts the challenge of treating people the right way instead of simply dealing with internal issues or timeliness issues. It deals with beauty in a way that provides a positive role model for young readers.
This is a great book in a really great series!
