The second book in the John Dies at the End series is creepy as heck. These are horror books. They're gross and a little scary, but not really scary. The real horror is the characters in the story.
This Book Is Full of Spiders: Seriously, Dude, Don't Touch It

Once again, there are very funny, laugh-out-loud moments. The humor isn't on all the time, but it's on often enough to make the book enjoyable. It was enjoyable enough that I'm getting the next book in the series, and I'll be reading it.
I can't read a lot of these back to back, but I come around to them now and then. Sometimes you need to clear your palate with some licorice, if only to remind you how good the other books out there are. Still, this one is very funny too.
Jason remains one of my favorite people to listen to. It's clear I probably disagree with him on quite a lot, from morality to politics and whatever else, and I think that's probably okay.
