John Gotti is dead. The famous Mafia Boss has succumbed to cancer. His funeral is a scene to behold. More than a hundred cars snake along the road to the cemetery. St, John's Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens (New York) is to be the final resting place for this famous and feared Mafia Boss. There would be no Catholic Burial Mass - the church had turned their back on the Gotti family.
Things were no always good for the Gotti family. John grew up with an abusive father. They were poor - poorer than even you can imagine. John left home at an early age, after almost killing his father, and took to the streets, he started to emulate the Mafia bosses, and any other known criminals that would eventually help him reach his goal. He promised himself that he would rise above the poverty and make a name for himself.
John's life was not an easy one. He was in and out jail and prison most of his life. The final time in prison would be the death of him. His son, John Jr,. is in prison - a trumped up charge by the FBI. They promised he would only serve a few years and then be free. They lied - he would not be getting out. The one person John trusted with his life has betrayed him. He has stolen all the Gotti money and is planning to take over John's territory.
Victoria, John's only daughter, is devastated. Her father is death, she is going through a nasty divorce, Victoria thinks - what will become of the Gottis? She prays for peace, mostly for her mother. While she waits for the outcome of John Jr.'s trial, she can only hope that the jury will not be bias and judge him with their hearts and heads fairly.
Victoria will always remember the love she had for her father and those that loved him. For all the things that happened to her father - she knows he would tell her it was all worth it. This she too will remember.
