A young mom with a 3 yr old suddenly has her life turned upside down when someone from her past life as a spy suddenly appears. Apparently, once a spy always a spy is an accurate description since your past is always lurking and waiting to pounce when the opportunity presents itself.
Original Sin
A Sally Sin Adventure

Sally was an agent for the USAWMD for 9 years before meeting the love of her life and settling down to raise a family. An old nemesis that was presumed dead suddenly appeared back in business and the USAWMD wanted to use Sally, who now went by the name of Lucy, as bait to draw the rogue agent out and capture or kill him.
We all know how demanding raising a 3 yr old can be, but watching Sally/Lucy juggle her family and try to protect them while simultaneously doing a little sleuthing on her on to get to the bottom of the mystery of why she was being involved in a USAWMD operation was fascinating. Her husband had always suspected she had another life before him that was more than just a government analyst, but apparently was afraid of the answer so he just didn't ask and she didn't tell.
Old skills were resurrected and employed to find answers and protect her family and also to discover that she was really happy doing exactly what she was doing, raising her son and being a wife. She didn't miss that old life at all.
A fast-paced narrative that switches from current to episodes from the past to tie together the story but it is never confusing and only serves to put the current events into perspective.
