The plot twists and turns and every time you think you have it figured out, it takes a
U-turn. There are financial plots to take advantage of the new green initiatives such as wind farms. Investigation shows that there are numerous reasons why someone might want Missy’s husband dead, including Missy. A high profile lawyer comes to town to defend Missy against the murder charges and in true Perry Mason fashion the trial comes to an end with an astonishing admission by one of the witnesses.
There is also a sub-plot involving a old friend of Joe’s that runs thru all of C.J. Box’s series involving the game warden. It makes you want to go back and read all the novels and see how it all began.
